Thomas Lawson

Chief Executive

Thomas joined Leap and its high-performing team of staff and trainers at the start of November 2010. He is passionate about the difference that Leap can make in partnership with young people. His role at the helm of Leap includes making sure that young people are at the heart of the organisation as we respond to the increasing challenges that face them and our communities.

Tom thrives on growing rewarding and sustainable relationships for Leap, and leading and developing a strong team. He brings integrity, transparency, passion and a dedication to quality honed during previous roles across the charitable sector.

Beyond Leap, Tom is a volunteer trustee for HeartnSoul, a creative producing company led by artists with learning disabilities; and a director of his family’s 110 year old retail company in the South West of England. He lives in South London with his civil partner and two ageing, charming terriers.

Gwen Scott

Office Manager

Gwen ensures the smooth running of offices and admin systems, oversees Leap’s HR and recruitment processes, and manages the chief executive’s diary. As well as juggling all of this, Gwen loves spending time with her family and going out for meals at every opportunity. In whatever time she has left, Gwen enjoys massages, saunas, listening to all types of music and going to the cinema.

Tom Mathew

Finance Manager

Tom joined Leap in May 2011, and manages the organisation’s finances. He moved to London from New Jersey via Dublin, where he was the Senior Finance Manager at the City of Dublin YMCA.

In his free time, Tom enjoys travelling to the faraway places, writing essays for occasional publication, and playing very sloppy guitar.
