Leap centres
Leap Confronting Conflict is a national organisation with three regional bases.
These bases can be found in:
- London
- Leap in the North is based in Leeds
- Leap in Scotland is based in Glasgow
Our London centre is based in Finsbury Park.
It hosts our national headquarters, many of our staff and youth projects, the Leap Academy team, the Training and Consultancy team and our south-east training base.
Your first point of contact is Gwen Scott.
Leap in the North is based in Joseph’s Well Building in Leeds.
It hosts Yorkshire specialist development workers and trainers, Steering Group of young people, and is home to our northern Quarrel Shops and Pathfinder Youth Project peer mediation and schools projects. Leap in the North develops partnerships with other organisations in the region, runs adult and young people training, and supports the setting up of mediation and conflict management projects in schools and organisations.
Courses for adult practitioners and tailor made training for organisations and teams are available.
Leap North works closely with our Academy partners Leeds Metropolitan University.
Your first point of contact is Wendy Gledhill.
Leap in Scotland is based in the office of the CIRV in the centre of Glasgow
A Leap worker is based there at least 6 days each month and teams of delivery and freelance trainers are available to set up and run tailor made courses to suit local practitioner and organisation needs.
Our partners are the Strathclyde Police and their multi agency team dedicated to violence reduction and working with gang members across Glasgow. We are also working closely with Glasgow FARE, Abelour and Partners in Evaluation in Scotland.
Leap is available to work elsewhere in Scotland as needed.
Your first point of contact is Andy Jukes or Wendy Gledhill.
