Evaluation and impact measurement
Leap Confronting Conflict believes that everything we do should be outcomes led and the impact should be measured.
We use a range of tools and techniques to evaluate personal, group and organisational learning, impact and social return on investment, with a commitment to regularly involving external evaluators.
We have an organisational evaluation framework and are currently working closely with Mark Bitel from ‘Partners in Evaluation’ to improve the tools and ways in which we gather data and measure our success.
Many of our funded projects have external evaluators attached to them such as the ‘Fear and Fashion’ project and ‘Reducing Racist Violence’ project.
We have commissioned Partners in Evaluation in 2009 to explore whether our training for adults and organisations in Scotland has added value to their skills, confidence and sustainability in working with youth and conflict.
Completed independent and commissioned evaluations of our work include:
Gangs and Territorialism Impact Report
Sandy Sanghera and Pete Lawson, April 2008
MA Dissertation- Culture, Context, Community and Conflict: Drama as a tool for teaching conflict competence
