Training for Individuals

The Leap Academy of Youth and Conflict offers qualifications and CPD training for youth practitioners.

In addition, it:

• develops youth and conflict specialists
• develops Action Research programmes
• produces new frameworks and materials for dissemination
• holds seminars and master classes
• grows young conflict practitioners.

It is an academy providing flexible learning opportunities.
It meets Continuing Professional Development needs of professional practitioners
It attracts non-traditional and young learners progressing from Leap’s projects.

We are experts in conflict resolution, restorative approaches, peer mediation, youth volunteering programmes, working with gangs and territorialism, working with challenging behaviour, race and diversity and community cohesion.
What we disseminate has been learnt through trial and testing.

We offer a range of certificates from level 1 through to level 4, and have launched the country’s first suite of specialist qualifications in youth and conflict in partnership with Leeds Metropolitan University – Foundation Degree Working With Young People and Young People’s Services – Youth and Conflict – which includes a certificate and a diploma.

The Leap Academy provides quality training aligned with the Qualifications Credit Framework Levels. Some courses are accredited by the Open College Network. All courses are certificated by Leap.

Leap has a long and successful track record of training adults, ensuring the specialist training contributes to practioners Continued Professional Development (CPD). The certificate and diploma courses specialising in youth and conflict in particular, will provide qualifications that add value for employers.
