Communities
Leap Confronting Conflict provide skills training based on 18 years of experience in the design and delivery of transformational programmes for young people. However to transform a peer group, the local community needs to work together with agencies and other organisations to deliver structured interventions, support and new opportunities for young people.
We work in partnership with communities, police services, young people’s services, youth justice, schools and education services, community and mental health services and children’s services throughout the UK, providing the specialist skills and resources to train young people in conflict awareness and conflict prevention skills. We also work with the adults in the organisations and communities that support those young people, providing the skills and knowledge that will help them intervene more effectively.
Our local partners provide the ongoing support for individual young people and the entry and exit points onto the programme. They identify, refer and recruit young people, and provide routes for their future progress. Working in partnership, we can develop a critical mass of young people who have been through the programme and are making an active contribution to their local community – a permanent legacy of young people who are transforming their own lives and the lives of others.
