Accredited Learning

The Leap Academy, launched in 2008, gives young people and Youth and Community professionals access to Leap’s specialist range of awards and qualifications.

Look no further if you are a young person developing your potential or wanting to reduce aggression and violence in your community.

We also offer professional development for frontline youth professionals interested in developing skills working with young people on a wide range of issues including group offending, conflict resolution, challenging behaviour, identity and prejudice.

2011 heralds new challenges in the higher education learning environment. Wider accreditation is currently under development with our HE partner, Leeds Metropolitan University.

We provide:

  • Young peoples accredited programmes at Level 1, 2 and 3 covering our core curriculum. Click on TRAINING YOUNG PEOPLE for more information.
  • Schools can engage their young people through Leap’s accredited Level 1 peer mediation framework as part of their programme to change behaviours, reduce bullying and resolve conflicts in their environments
  • Youth and Community Higher Education 2011 heralds the start for a new progression route for youth and community practitioners. Leap is offering just one of our accredited qualifications. 2011 students at Leeds Metropolitan University can widen their learning experience by completing a Certificate in Youth and Conflict. This is also an ideal CPD option for current practitioners working in the Youth and Conflict fields.

The courses are easily accessible, flexible, and take into account your work, experience and qualifications so far. Reflection and experiential learning play a big part of assessment and learning.

To discuss any of these courses and your needs for accredited programmes, please contact Marilyn Fitzpatrick.
