Growing up with Multiculturalism
Wednesday 11th August 2010
Enabling young people to understand and appreciate their own identity whilst accepting and appreciating people with an identity different from their own is key to resolving conflict in our multi-ethnic society.
Working with Identity & Prejudice
is a 2-day course developed by Leap through working in three diverse and divided UK communities. It is relevant to youth professionals concerned with community cohesion, preventing violent extremism and inter-faith work.
By attending the course you will gain a deeper understanding of identity issues faced by your clients and a toolbox of practical techniques for tackling the complex attitudes and damaging behaviours driven by feelings of prejudice.
There are a few places available on the course, running in Bradford on 21st & 22nd September. The course costs £220 per person.
If you are interested in developing ways to explore identity and tackle prejudice in your work with young people you can book your place or find out more now.
