Fear & Fashion features in new knife crime report

Wednesday 2nd February 2011

Leap’s partnership project in Westminster, ‘Fear & Fashion’, has been applauded by Brooke Kinsella in her report ‘Tackling Knife Crime Together’, published this morning. Brooke is quoted in today’s Guardian as being ‘particularly impressed’ by Fear & Fashion

Leap staff were joined at the launch event by Justin and Janatth, two of the young leaders who have come through the programme and now lead workshops with other young people around Westminster and beyond. Both were thrilled to get recognition for their work, and immediately wanted to talk about other opportunities to get out and talk to new audiences about reducing knife crime.

Theresa Brooke

Theresa May introduced the report and Brooke then spoke about the various recommendations contained within it, many of which are aligned to work we are doing, including community projects, working in schools and engaging more with young women and girls.
