Check out the new-look PeerLink website
Wednesday 25th November 2009
Designed with help from PeerLink members, Leap has relaunched its new-look PeerLink website!
Complete with an interactive blog, members stories, resources, videos and heaps of photos, the website will tell you all you need to know about what PeerLink offers and how you can get involved today.
Here’s a special introduction to the site from Sohail, one of the four PeerLink volunteers who helped to design and develop it:
I’m Sohail and I was one of four PeerLink volunteers who helped design and develop the new PeerLink site. We started by choosing existing sites that we enjoy visiting and discussed what was good about them. We then looked at some design templates for the new PeerLink website and chose which bits of each we liked best and which we thought would appeal most to other young people. We all had our own opinions but discussed it, got our ideas across and came to an agreement.
The features I’m most excited about are the PeerLink blog and members’ stories as it’s a chance to see what other young people are up to. Also the PeerLink mediation videos (you might spot me in one!) and the news and events sections.
It’s really important that PeerLink has a new website because the old one was out of date and it’s now far more appealing for young mediators and conflict resolvers to visit.
Hope you enjoy it too!
Sohail
We’d love to hear your comments, thoughts and suggestions so please let us know by posting them below or on the new PeerLink blog.
Oh, and tell all your friends and family about it too: www.peerlink.org.uk
